One of the biggest highlights recently was becoming published authors! Each student wrote about their favorite animal, and together they created a class book. This week, they finally received their printed copies, and the excitement was unforgettable as students flipped through the pages to see their writing and artwork in a real book! 🐾📖
They’ve also enjoyed some wonderful adventures outside the classroom, including a fun-filled park trip and a special visit to the library to learn all about the summer reading program and upcoming activities. ☀️🌳📚
What an amazing season of learning, creativity, and fun for our 4th graders! ❤️

Students had so much fun seeing familiar faces, meeting new friends, and getting to know Ms. Hessman’s service dog in training, Jasper! The day was filled with activities including personality bingo, outdoor playtime, games, a tour of the school, and even a fun “Save the Worm” activity!
It was a wonderful day full of connection, teamwork, and new memories. Thank you again to Ms. Hessman and her class for being such welcoming and wonderful hosts! 😊

Students got a firsthand look at college life by touring campus, enjoying lunch at the outdoor amphitheater, and participating in two engaging academic activities led by college professors. Sessions included areas like music, forensic studies, theater, and communication studies — giving students the chance to explore new interests and experience learning in a college setting.
The day wrapped up with Q&A with college students, where our students could ask questions and learn more about the college experience.
Thank you to Monmouth College for providing such a fun, welcoming, and inspiring opportunity for our students! #ScotsForADay #FutureReady #CollegeForKids #MonmouthCollege

Bravo to our amazing 5th and 6th grade band students for a fantastic Spring Concert last night! All the effort you’ve put in this year came through in your performances. 👏
A heartfelt thank you to our band directors and student teacher for inspiring and guiding our students, and to our families and staff for your continued support every step of the way.
From the first notes in the fall to last night’s performance, it’s been incredible to watch these musicians learn, grow, and gain confidence. And we can’t forget one of the biggest highlights of the night—the return of the bucket drummers! 🥁🔥 What an energetic and fun performance!
We are so proud of each and every one of you! 🎺🥁🎷Here’s to a wonderful year of music! 🎵💛

Our 5th graders were off to historic Nauvoo for an unforgettable day of learning and exploration last week! 🏛️🌿
Students experienced history in a whole new way—discovering what life was like in the 1840s by engaging in old fashioned games, a wagon ride, museums, and presentations of how things were built back then. It was a great day of learning and creating memories with friends!
We hope you heard all about their favorite moments when they returned! 🎉

Students delivered flower pots around the building to brighten teachers’ days and say “thank you” in a meaningful way. Their smiles and sweet gestures made it feel extra special!
