So proud of our 6th Grade Central Volleyball Club and the incredible group of girls who showed up ready to learn, grow, and have fun together on the court! 🏐💙 From building new skills to supporting one another, they’re learning how to create something really special.
A big thank you to the two teachers who give their time outside of school to make this possible—your encouragement and enthusiasm don’t go unnoticed, and it’s clear you enjoy being part of this journey too!

🎶✨ All-District Band Concert ✨🎶
What an incredible night of music and collaboration! Our 5th and 6th grade band students had the amazing opportunity to perform individually as well as alongside our talented junior high and high school musicians at the All-District Band Concert.
From the first note to the final applause, it was inspiring to see students of all ages come together to share their hard work, growth, and love of music. 🎺🥁🎷We are so proud of our young musicians for their dedication and confidence—and grateful for the chance to be part of such a special district-wide event! 👏

We couldn’t let this one go unshared… so here’s a little April Fool’s fun from last week! 😄
🤔🎉 Riddle of the Day! 🎉🤔
I’m not a holiday, but I bring lots of cheer,
You might see me once… or just once a year!
Teachers look different, maybe silly or cool,
What could be happening at our school? 👀
🕵️♀️ Give up? It was our SECRET Staff Dress-Up Day: Wear a Wig Wednesday! 🎭
Our staff had so much fun surprising students with our fun wigs—what a great way to celebrate as we headed into Spring Break! 🌸👏

(Also, special shout-out of thank you to Mrs. Beardsley for her work with these students!)

Our 6th graders kicked off their morning with a Wellness Wednesday activity day before break—and it was a hit! 💙
Students had the chance to choose how they wanted to recharge and connect:
💪 CrossFit workout to get moving
🎨 Painting kindness rocks to spread positivity
🧩 Brain teasers and puzzles to challenge their minds
🖌️ Creating a positive graffiti wall filled with uplifting messages
We love seeing our students explore different ways to support their wellness—physically, mentally, and emotionally!
Swipe to see some highlights from this awesome morning!

After a long day of testing and learning last week, students in Nielsen's 4th grade, Collins' 5th grade, and Jacob’s 5th grade classes took some well-deserved time to enjoy the beautiful weather! 😎🌼
Fresh air, smiles, and a chance to recharge made for the perfect ending to a busy day. Have I mentioned we are so proud of all their hard work and focus?! 💪📚

Today we’re giving a BIG round of applause to our amazing students who showed outstanding COOPERATION! 🤝💫
These character trait winners worked together, supported their classmates, and showed us what teamwork truly looks like. Whether it was helping a friend, sharing ideas, or being a positive part of the group, they made our school community stronger every day.
We are so proud of you for leading with kindness and collaboration—keep shining! 🌟

We’re excited to kick off our Band T-Shirt Fundraiser—and you’re invited to join the fun! 👕🎺 Band students, families, and supporters can order their shirts over the next week or so. Check out the attached form (which should come home with your student) or scan the QR code to order online—it’s quick and easy!
💵 Payment is due at the time of order. (Cash or check can be turned in to Mrs. Pickrell or the front office.) Every purchase helps support our Central Band program, so thank you for helping our musicians shine on and off the stage! 🎵✨

Afterward, students celebrated their hard work with extra recess—earned through their amazing efforts in specials classes! 🎉
We love combining learning, fresh air, and well-deserved fun! 💛 #SpringLearning #EarnedIt #ClassroomJoy

Thank you for making sure your student gets to school on time and ready to learn. We know that some mornings can be a challenge, and your effort does not go unnoticed!
Students with 85% or better attendance this quarter were rewarded with a small treat—and parents were entered into a raffle for a chance to win gift cards for gas and groceries. 🎉 There was one winner per grade level! Soooo, what that means is we are in a NEW quarter and everyone has a chance at this quarter's raffle which will be done at the end of the year. Keep showing up and YOU could win our next one! 💳
We appreciate your partnership and all you do to support your child’s success each and every day! #ThankYouParents #AttendanceMatters

Students who had perfect attendance for the quarter earned a special reward—breakfast pizza! 🍕 It was a fun (and delicious) way to recognize their hard work and consistency in showing up.
So proud of these students for showing up every day ready to learn! 💛 #PerfectAttendance #StudentSuccess #CelebrateSuccess

In the first activity, students took on a cooperative drawing challenge—standing back-to-back with a partner while one described an image and the other drew it. This activity really put their communication, listening, and teamwork skills to the test (and showed how important details are!). 🎨🗣️
Next, the class earned a reward and chose to celebrate by making slime—always a favorite! 🧪
We also had our exciting attendance glow party! Students enjoyed glowing games like “Binglow” and had a blast with colorful lights lighting up the room. 🌟
So proud of all their hard work, teamwork, and positive energy! 💛 #ClassroomFun #Teamwork #StudentSuccess

Our students were all smiles as they enjoyed their sweet treats—such a fun way to celebrate and build community together. We’re so grateful for moments like these that bring a little extra joy to our school day!
