✨ Punch-card progress update! ✨
Miss Cassidy's 4th Grade Class kicked off a new classroom punch-card system just two weeks ago, and the students have been crushing it! They earn punches for no missing assignments, doing corrections, or scoring 100%.
And guess what? TEN students have already filled their card with 15 punches and are starting fresh ones! 🥳
Keep up the amazing work, everyone!

🚀 4th Grade Inventors in Action! 🧠🔧

We kicked off our brand-new inventors unit on Friday, and Miss Cassidy's 4th grade class jumped right into challenge mode! Students used special clues to track down their mystery lab groups, then competed in a game-show–style series of tasks to put their creativity to the test. 🎉

Their final mission? Create an original invention to move a ping-pong ball off the table, pass it through every teammate, and land it in a bucket—all without dropping it! 🏓➡️🪣

With teamwork, problem-solving, and LOTS of laughter, these young innovators worked hard to earn the first piece of their Invention Wheel: the Collaboration Wedge! 🧩✨

We’re so excited to see what they invent next! 💡💥

In honor of our November character trait - Gratitude - we wanted to share some info from our CharacterStrong curriculum to help capture the essence of why gratitude is so powerful and important.

🍂💛Why is Gratitude So Important?💛🍂
🌟Improved Mental Health: Practicing gratitude shifts your mindset toward positivity, helping reduce symptoms of anxiety and depression.
🌟Enhanced Relationships: Expressing appreciation strengthens connections by fostering trust, connection, and reciprocity with others.
🌟Health Benefits: Gratitude lowers stress, improves sleep, and supports overall physical well-being.
🌟Generosity & Altruism: Feeling thankful often inspires people to pay it forward through acts of kindness and compassion.
🌟Positive Social Impact: Grateful individuals tend to contribute more to their communities, helping build a kinder and more empathetic society.

Isn't that fabulous?! Have some conversations with your student about what they are grateful for! Here are some ideas for how to get those chats going!

The 6th Grade students have been having a "sweet" time.

To celebrate finishing the Roald Dahl and Narrative units in English Language Arts, Ms. Laughlin's class and Ms. Garzee's class watched Charlie and the Chocolate Factory while trying and rating old fashioned and British candy (like Dahl wrote about eating at Mrs. Pratchett's Sweet Shop in his autobiography Boy: Tales of Childhood).
