Our 4th graders in Mrs. Busch's class put their problem-solving skills to the test during their energy experiment! 💡 Students worked in teams to figure out how to light a light bulb using circuits—lots of trial, error, and “aha!” moments along the way.

It was amazing to see their perseverance and excitement when their bulbs finally lit up. Future scientists in the making! ⚡ #HandsOnLearning

Young Authors

Celebrating creativity at our assembly on Friday honoring our Young Authors and Illustrators! ✍️📚
Our students continue to amaze us with their imagination, voice, and courage to share their stories. One of the highlights of the celebration was when several staff members brought one student’s submission to life with a fun skit inspired by her writing. Seeing a story jump off the page and onto the stage was such a special moment! 🎭
Moments like these remind us how powerful student voices are and how important it is to nurture their creativity. We are so proud of all of our young authors for their hard work and willingness to share their ideas with the world.

For one of their Throwback Thursday Challenges, students in Mrs. Milroy’s 6th grade class worked together in teams to build the tallest structure they could using only 10 sheets of paper, 10 pieces of tape, and 4 straws! 📄📏

This hands-on activity challenged students to think creatively, problem-solve, and collaborate with their teammates. We saw some impressive designs and great teamwork throughout the challenge! 👏

The 6th Grade Dance was a glowing success! ✨🕺💃

Our Glow Party theme lit up the night with music, neon colors, and lots of dancing. The photos may be a little dark and blurry, but that just means the glow lights were working and the dance floor was full!

Most importantly, our students had a fantastic time celebrating together and making great memories. 🌟

🤝Cooperation Month is off to a great start!✨
Miss Cassidy's 4th grade class has been focusing on what it means to work together and support one another. Through class discussions, group work, and lots of fun activities, students have been practicing their teamwork skills every day!

We’ve challenged ourselves with Silent Ball, worked together to untangle a human knot, and put our teamwork to the test with cup stacking challenges. 🎯 These activities helped us practice communication, patience, and problem-solving—all while having a lot of fun! We’re excited to keep building our cooperation skills throughout the month.

📚✨ Our 5th graders in Mrs. Jacob's class had an unforgettable day celebrating Read Across America! Students brought stories to life by acting out scenes from their books, showing creativity, teamwork, and a love for reading. 🎭📖

To make the day even more magical, we dimmed the lights and read together using book lights, turning our classroom into a cozy reading space where imaginations could shine. 🔦📚

So proud of these readers for embracing stories, sharing laughter, and celebrating the joy of books! ❤️

We celebrated BIG today with a special Clap Out and Donut Celebration for our Character Trait winners for Honesty! 🍩👏

These students have demonstrated truthfulness in both the hard moments and the good ones. Whether it’s admitting a mistake or standing firm in doing what’s right, they show us that honesty matters at all times. 🗣️

We are so proud of the way they choose to say the truthful thing — even when it isn’t easy. Thank you to our families and staff for helping us grow students who lead with honesty and heart. Congratulations to our amazing winners! 🌟

Our 5th grade artists in Miss Collins' class have been diving into the world of the Renaissance yet again! 🎨✨ As part of our Renaissance unit, students explored perspective landscape drawing — learning how artists used foreground, middle ground, background, and vanishing points to create depth and realism in their work. 🖼️

This engaging lesson was thoughtfully planned and taught by the amazing Sarah Mayfield, who guided students in understanding how art and math come together to create powerful visual storytelling. 👏🖌️

📚✨ Happy Read Across America Day! ✨📚
Today, Central Intermediate School is celebrating the joy, adventure, and power of reading! ❤️📖 On this special day inspired by the legacy of Dr. Seuss, we’re reminded that books can take us anywhere — across the country, around the world, and beyond our wildest imaginations. 🚀🌎

From silly stories to inspiring biographies, mysteries to math facts — every page we turn helps us grow as readers and learners. At Central, we believe reading builds confidence, creativity, and curiosity that lasts a lifetime.

📚 Today we encourage our students and families to:
✨ Read for at least 20 minutes
✨ Share your favorite book with a friend
✨ Visit your local library
✨ Start a new story together

Let’s make every day a reading day!
